Our Services

The best technology.

Using similar technology to Charlotte FC, the Carolina Panthers, and many English Premier League teams, Premier Physical Therapy treats you like a professional athlete.

The Dual Force Plate System allows us to objectively analyze your movement patterns to perform a one-of-a-kind, personalized, biomechanical analysis of YOU. This allows us to treat you faster and more efficiently, saving you time and money.

Our offerings also include the use of objective strength and range of motion measurement technology, to assess your progress over time using data.

    Manual Therapy

TLC goes a long way. Whether it’s soft tissue mobilization, effleurage, trigger point release, myofascial release, massage, or a different intervention, you can rest assured knowing Dr. Phil Welsh will give you the hands-on attention you need.

  • Person lying face down on a treatment table, receiving acupuncture with several thin needles inserted into their shoulder and back.

    Dry Needling and Cupping

To further speed up rehabilitation and to help prevent future dysfunction, we offer dry needling and cupping at no additional cost! With roots dating back thousands of years, these interventions are proven to help with pain relief, muscle tension, and neuromuscular recruitment through the process of neuromodulation.

    Blood Flow Restriction Training

Strengthen your muscles without excessively loading the area with weight! BFR temporarily reduces a specific amount of blood to and from a targeted muscle, and is a great way of improving strength post-surgery and for folks who are unable to use heavy weights. It assists with growth hormone release and lactic acid dispersion, too!

  • A woman with a tied back hairstyle lifting a barbell in a gym.

    Corrective Exercise

Any physical therapist can prescribe a quad set. You need corrective exercises and neuromuscular re-education that is tailored to YOUR individual needs, body type, and activity. With the use of thorough bio-mechanical analysis and sports performance technology, we prescribe exercises to quickly reduce your pain and dysfunction.

  • A person in shorts and shoes is training on an outdoor sports field with agility cones and a resistance band.

    Injury Prevention

Why rehabilitate from an injury when you can get ahead of one? It’s easier than you think! Injury prevention helps reduce your cost, time away from your activity/sport, and pain before it even happens. Dr. Phil Welsh will evaluate your individual biomechanics in the clinic or on the field, prescribing exercises specifically tailored to you to avoid these preventable injuries.

    Continued Performance

You've worked hard on getting better! The last thing we want is to have all your hard work go to waste and then you end up back in pain again. The Continued Performance package is designed as a once per month 60 minute "check up" in the clinic to discuss your case, assess biomechanics, treat (if needed), and make changes to your plan of care, with the goal of minimizing your future risk of injury.

  • Women's soccer team on the field celebrating during a game, with a crowd in the stands in the background.

    Team Testing

Are you a parent or coach of a youth sports team? If you’d like to minimize injury risk for your team, bring them in for baseline testing! We can compare these values to measurements taken at varying increments throughout the season, to help identify biomechanical imbalances that predispose the athlete to injury and get ahead of them before an injury occurs.
