Hands-On Care/Dry Needling + Exercise = Great Outcomes!

For most of us, time is our biggest commodity.

In late February 2025, Eliza, Simon, and I went to a pediatrician appointment for Simon. It was close to their morning opening time and yet our pediatrician, who we like, was 20 minutes late. No apology, no reasoning. It’s just something we’ve come to expect, unfortunately.

If you’ve spent any time with me in Premier PT, you’ll understand why this drove me nuts. Yes, sometimes folks run behind schedule, and I get it, stuff happens occasionally. But when it becomes a pattern, it’s clear that you don’t respect other people’s time. Given time is our biggest commodity, let’s value each other’s time!

For that reason, patients/clients of Premier PT receive the best care possible each and every visit. No time wasted. For some, they need rehabilitative exercise and sport-specific training only. For the majority of the rest of us, however, there’s some combination of hands-on care required, with or without dry needling, cupping, IASTM, etc, along with the exercise piece. After all, we’re active human beings with active lifestyles. Therefore, our rehab plan needs to include an appropriate level of activity.

If time is your biggest commodity, you want to have as much free time as possible and therefore reduce the amount of time you spend in doctor’s offices. So if we at Premier PT can treat your knee or back pain in just 6 visits with an individually-tailored plan of hands-on work and exercise, rather than 20 visits with a cookie-cutter approach with minimal hands-on care, then let’s maximize your free time! And it also saves you money, too. Win-win situation!

This shouldn’t be rocket science; high-quality care yields quicker and more thorough results. Yet so many medical practices, whether doctor’s offices, physical therapists, chiropractors, etc, are transitioning to a model of care where revenue is the most important variable. At Premier PT, the most important variable is, and always will be, high-quality care. Nothing is more important.
